At erudite.health we are building Arch*i: a health platform that brings together medical knowledge, technology and artificial intelligence.
It starts from an extensive medical intake and turns that into personal guidance on nutrition, movement, mental health and supplementation.

As an Backend Developer, you help build the intelligence behind that platform.
What will you build?
- You help build the AI engine behind Arch*i: the system that turns a medical intake into personalised, evidence-based health guidance.
- Your work includes:
- The APIs and backend services powering the app: reliable, secure and ready to scale as we add new indications and features.
- The complete flow from medical intake to personalised, evidence-based health guidance.
- Translating clinical decision logic into reliable, production-ready software.
- Data pipelines that process health data accurately, securely and reproducibly.
- Evidence-based insights with clear sources and context, while distinguishing between what we know and what we infer.
- Testing, evaluation and guardrails to demonstrate that the system works as intended before it goes live.
- Monitoring and optimising models in production, with a focus on quality, drift and cost.
- The entire development lifecycle: from idea and development to production and ongoing monitoring.
Who are you?
You are an Backend Developer who enjoys building software that goes beyond demos and prototypes.
You also recognise yourself in the following:
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- You have at least 3 years of experience with Python and building production-ready software.
- Already have experience with Golang? Great! But your motivation to learn it is what matters most.
- You have a strong understanding of data modelling and SQL. You design schemas that can evolve as new types of data and new requirements emerge, and you know how to work with user data that can be irregular and incomplete.
- You write clean, well-tested code and think in systems rather than isolated scripts.
- You are curious and think critically. You keep asking questions until you fully understand the underlying problem.
- You are fluent in Dutch and communicate professionally in English.
Nice to have:
- Experience with LLMs and/or RAG, or the motivation to quickly deepen your knowledge in this area.
- Experience with computer vision or image processing.
- Knowledge of MLOps, including model deployment, monitoring and evaluation.
- An interest in healthcare, life sciences or medical technology.
- Knowledge of privacy legislation and regulations related to health data (GDPR).

- Gross monthly salary between €3,700 and €4,900, depending on your experience and expertise.
